SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The southbound lanes of S.R. 417 have reopened in Seminole County after a vehicle fire temporarily shut down the roadway on Sunday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said around 4:30 p.m. that the southbound lanes from Lake Mary Boulevard to S. R. 434 – which includes the Lake Jesup Bridge – were closed, but posted on social media around an hour later saying that they reopened.

Officials from the Seminole County Fire Department later said it was an “EV fire” on the Lake Jesup Bridge and posted photos that show a burned sedan.

No injuries were reported, fire oddicials said.
