LAKE MARY, Fla. – Five vehicles suffered a “chain reaction crash” along State Road 417 on Thursday evening, blocking traffic along the highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In a release, FHP announced that the crash happened in the northbound lane, just north of mile marker 52 in Lake Mary.
While few details are available about what caused the crash, troopers said there were two people taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Currently, the inside lane is blocked, and the outside lane is now open,” troopers wrote around 5:30 p.m. “This crash remains under investigation.”
