Hurricane expo prepares Cape Canaveral for upcoming season

Is hurricane complacency a problem in Florida? Officials in Cape Canaveral think so, that's why, for the second year in a row, the city held a hurricane expo for its residents. “We’ve noticed that here in Brevard County, there can be this idea of complacency because it’s been a while since we’ve been directly impacted by a tropical storm,” meteorologist Will Ulrich said. Officials with the National Weather Service and other disaster experts met with residents to urge them to be prepared for hurricane season.
