Orange County wants to extend red light cameras for 10 years

Orange County commissioners are set to vote on extending the county’s red-light camera program for another decade. The county has 57 cameras at 35 intersections, issuing $158 tickets to drivers caught running red lights. The county says the cameras improve safety by changing how drivers behave at intersections, with the goal of eliminating traffic-related deaths and serious injuries.
