WOKB concert noise complaints grow in Ocoee after May show

WOKB Radio in Ocoee is under fire after a concert back in May sparked outrage from nearby neighbors, including people in Admiral Pointe. WOKB told Ocoee commissioners its most recent concert drew at least 400 people on May 23. The station said that event was permitted. But Shante Persaud, the station owner, said the promoter, who is not from Ocoee, brought unexpected changes. Persaud said the promoter took control of the sound, including equipment placement and audio levels.
