Coldest air of season grips Central Florida

Highs for Thanksgiving expected to be near 80

ORLANDO, Fla. – Clear skies and a north wind will make for another cold night with Marion county under a freeze warning until 8 am Monday.  Most of Central Florida will not reach freezing, however it will be cold by Florida standards.

It started out chilly this morning and a bit breezy but strong sunshine and clear skies turned it into a nice day.  Expect much the same for tomorrow minus the breeze.

It will be even colder Sunday night, with overnight lows expected to be 41 degrees in Orlando, 32 degrees in Ocala and 42 degrees in Cocoa Beach.

Lows tonight will range from 31 in Ocala to 39 in Palm Coast, to 37 in Villages to 43 Cocoa Beach and Orlando.

Protect plants and pets from the cold and bundle up in the morning.  Abundant sunshine will quickly push temperatures into the high 60's on Monday and into the 70's on Tuesday.

No Freeze expected after tonight for the rest of the week. Thanksgiving looks good with no rain, plenty of sunshine and temps in the high 70's.
