ORLANDO, Fla. – The coldest morning of the week is being felt across Central Florida, with Tuesday wake-up temperatures in the 30s and 40s across most of the region.

By the afternoon, high pressure will build across the southeastern U.S., allowing for dry and mild conditions to persist through the majority of the week.

Highs in the Orlando area will warm into the upper 60s to low 70s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Along with pleasant temperatures, the breeze is expected to pick up once again as winds veer northeast and increase to 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph possible.

The building high to our north and a stalled front south of Florida will lead to breezy to windy conditions through much of the week with onshore flow, also gradually increasing moisture across the area. Conditions should remain dry across most of the area on Wednesday, with chances increasing to 30-40% by the end of the week.

The forecast remains a bit uncertain as we head into the weekend as models diverge in the progression of a developing low pressure over the southern Gulf of Mexico.

The American models continue to track the low toward Tampa by Saturday night, while the European shifts the low further south near Naples around the same time.

Both outlooks indicate a periods of unsettled, wetter weather conditions into the weekend. For now, the chance of rain increases to 40-50% both Saturday and Sunday, with high remaining in the 70s until then.
