Afternoon temperatures will be below seasonal norms, ranging from the low 60s to low 70s.

Another cool night is anticipated for east Central Florida with overnight lows in the mid 40s to upper 50s, dropping to the low 40s in traditionally cooler spots around Lake and northern Volusia counties.

Tuesday will bring a cool morning, with temperatures rising to the upper 60s to low 70s in the afternoon.

Tonight will be the coldest night in the forecast.

Looking ahead to Tuesday night through Friday, high pressure will shift to the northeast resulting in onshore flow strengthening. Breezy to windy conditions are expected, and moisture levels will gradually increase, bringing rising rain chances throughout the week. Although Tuesday will remain dry, onshore moving showers will become more widespread later in the week.

Partly cloudy skies on Tuesday will give way to mostly cloudy conditions for much of the week. Onshore flow will boost maximum temperatures into the 70s on Tuesday, maintaining these levels due to persistent cloud cover. Overnight lows will also experience a warming trend, settling back into the 60s for much of the area.

The stronger onshore flow expected mid to late week will elevate seas in the Atlantic waters, leading to hazardous surf conditions, an increased risk of rip currents, and large breaking waves at the beaches. Concerns about minor coastal flooding and beach erosion will heighten, particularly around morning high tides.

Looking toward the weekend, uncertainties arise as model guidance diverges on the development of low pressure over the southern Gulf of Mexico along a stalled frontal boundary. Look for unsettled weather and increased moisture over the weekend, with chance rain probabilities ranging from 30-50%. Highs will persist in the 70s, with overnight lows generally in the 60s.
