Brevard County Public Schools cancels weekend events due to weather. Here’s the list Severe weather possible with Gulf low

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brevard County Public Schools on Friday canceled some weekend sporting events as the area prepares for severe weather.
The district said the following events are being impacted by severe weather due to a Gulf low:
Soccer
Atlantic @ Melbourne - Girls (V)
Basketball
King’s Academy @ Palm Bay - Girls (V)
Wekiva @ Rockledge - Boys (9th, JV, V)
Wrestling
Heritage Hammer Tournament
Space Coast Round Robin Tournament

The area is preparing for severe weather impacts this weekend as a Gulf low is expected to move through.
The latest rainfall projections for the area Saturday through Sunday morning is 2-4 inches, with isolated higher totals possible. December is considered one of the driest months out of the year in Central Florida, with a normal value of rainfall totaling 1.09 inches in Orlando.
