A breeze off the Atlantic means a quick-hitting shower is possible over the next few days.

Mostly cloudy skies return Friday, with highs again hovering around 70 degrees.

Central Florida will make a run for the mid-70s on Saturday, under a partly cloudy sky.

Christmas forecast

Most of Christmas Eve appears to be dry, but a stray shower could sneak on shore along the coast. Highs will be in the low to mid-70s.

The mid-70s hang around for Christmas, but rain chances move up a bit to 40%.

Christmas Day

Christmas shouldn’t be a washout, but the best timing for scattered downpours looks to be in the afternoon and evening. The cold front responsible for the rain could get hung up across Central Florida, keeping clouds and rain chances around through the middle of the week.

Tuesday after Christmas

A batch of colder air could move in to close out 2023.

Friday brings the first full day of winter, and a strong El Niño means Florida could be in store for a cooler and wetter season.
