Gorgeous start to 2024 before unsettled pattern returns to Central Florida

Sunny with highs around 70 New Year’s Day

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a cool start New Year’s morning, dominant sunshine helps push temperatures back to around 70 degrees for the afternoon.

A weak cold front pushes through Central Florida late Monday evening to reinforce the chill by Tuesday morning. Most of the area will be dry as this front passes by.

Temperatures to start the day Tuesday will be in the 30s and 40s.

Tuesday morning

High temperatures later Tuesday afternoon will only be in the 50s and 60s.

It will be a couple of notches colder to start the day Wednesday.

Frost potential Wednesday

Patchy frost will be possible north of Orlando.

Rain chances go up again late Wednesday into Thursday morning as another storm system approaches from the Gulf of Mexico.

Thursday morning

After a quiet and pleasant day Friday, another system moves in from the west.

Rain chances again increase late in the day Saturday through the pre-dawn hours of Sunday.

Saturday system

At this point it appears most of Sunday morning and afternoon will be dry as the system is quick to exit into the Atlantic.
