Scattered showers on tap for Veterans Day in Central Florida

Arrival of two cold fronts expected this week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a stretch of warm and tropical weather lately, we are finally going to start feeling like November again as we track the arrival of two cold fronts this week.

We are starting Monday morning with some patchy fog, followed by higher clouds moving in.

A weak tropical boundary near the Bahamas will bring more moisture to the area, raising rain chances, especially from the Cape to Kissimmee southward. Few scattered showers can’t be ruled out with coverage at 20-30 percent. Temperatures remain warm in the mid to upper 80s, with feels like temperatures nearing 90 degrees.

Rain chances Monday

Due to the stronger breeze in place, a high risk of rip currents remains in place for all Atlantic beaches through Monday evening.

Tuesday-Wednesday

A weak cool front will help push out lingering tropical moisture on Tuesday while veering our winds out of the north. Although temperatures will remain above normal, in the lower 80s, the drier air will start making it feel much nicer outside.

Temp Trend this Week

By Wednesday, drier, cooler air will start to move in, dropping temperatures to the upper 70s to low 80s, with cooler nights in the low to mid-60s.

Thursday-Saturday

A bit of a stronger cold front will bring a slight chance of rain on Thursday, but that will be short-lived. High pressure will take over, leading to dry conditions for the rest of the week. This second front will have a better chance of cooling temperatures even further into the upper 70s with lows dipping into the upper 50s to low 60s.
