ORLANDO, Fla. – Severe thunderstorm warnings in Brevard, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties began a potentially-messy Saturday afternoon here in Central Florida.

Looks like another scorcher for Central Florida today!
We’re starting off dry, but the heat will pick up quickly through the day.
Afternoon temperatures could hit the upper 90s, flirting with that 96-degree record set back in 2017 in Orlando.
There’s some rain in the mix though. Sea breezes from both coasts will kick in this afternoon, cranking up rain chances to about 30-50%. So, be ready for some quick downpours between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Heads-up to folks in southern Polk, Osceola and Brevard counties—there’s a chance a few storms could get strong to severe this afternoon.
Sunday won’t give us much relief, with highs in the low to mid 90s and a 40-50% chance of rain.
Memorial Day is shaping up to be another hot one with highs in the lower to middle 90s with a 60% chance of rain.
