TIMELINE: Stormy start, comfortable finish for Central Florida on Saturday

ORLANDO, Fla. – A cold front is on its way to Central Florida this Saturday, setting the stage for scattered rain and thunderstorms throughout the morning.

Some of these storms could turn strong at times, bringing heavy downpours, gusty winds between 40–60 mph, and even small hail.

Timing

While a marginal risk has been issued for Osceola, Brevard, and Polk counties, strong storms could pop up anywhere across the region — especially during the early hours.

Severe risk

The stormy weather won’t last all day. By late morning, conditions are expected to settle down as drier air moves in, gradually lowering humidity levels and clearing out the clouds.

The afternoon will be a nice break from the intense heat, with highs in the mid to upper 80s — a noticeable cooldown from the sweltering 90s we’ve seen lately.

Saturday's highs

A few isolated showers could still develop in the afternoon, but most areas should stay dry. Sunday looks even better, with low rain chances and highs climbing back into the upper 80s to low 90s under mostly sunny skies.
