ORLANDO, Fla. – A layer of Saharan dust continues to hang over Central Florida, bringing air quality down to moderate levels in several counties.

Afternoon temperatures will feel steamy, climbing into the low to mid 90s but feeling more like the low 100s.

If you’re heading to the beach, it’s looking like a beautiful day! Water temperatures are in the upper 70s to low 80s and while conditions are mostly dry, there is a moderate rip current risk.
Don’t forget the sunscreen — the UV index will be extreme today.
Looking ahead to Sunday, expect another hot one with highs in the mid 90s and only a slight (20%) chance of rain. As we move into next week, rain chances gradually increase, but highs will remain in the low to mid 90s.
In the tropics, things are quiet for now — no tropical development is expected over the next seven days.
