ORLANDO, Fla. – There were stray downpours around over the past several days, but largely Central Florida took a break from the start of the wet season.
The break was courtesy of the Saharan Dust that blanketed the Sunshine State late week and into the weekend.
Gradually, the dry, dusty air mass that is hanging out about 10 to 20,000 feet above our head will move out and a tropical one will return.

Combine the added moisture with sea breeze and it will look and feel a lot more like a Florida summer.
Expect rain and storm chances to ramp up Tuesday. A few stray downpours are expected to develop late in the morning.
The most widespread storms develop late in the afternoon.
Storms have the potential to linger late, especially along and around I-4.
A more usual rainfall pattern is expected Wednesday.
This return of the typical rainy pattern also means a surge in humidity. Some of the most humid days of the season-to-date settle in for the middle of the week.
