Heat indices are expected to soar from 100 to 104 degrees through Sunday afternoon.
Humidity remains high, with relative humidity readings in the 90s. Make sure to stay hydrated and take extra precautions in the midday and afternoon hours.
This classic summer pattern in Central Florida means mostly dry mornings, but frequent showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Expects rain and storms to start popping up after 1 p.m. on Sunday lasting through 9 p.m.

Storms are likely to bring gusty winds up to 50 mph, plenty of lightning, and bursts of heavy rain. Some storms could move slowly, leading to minor flooding in low-lying areas.
Watching the tropics, the 8 a.m. tropical outlook from the National Hurricane Center highlights Central Florida, but there’s only a low chance for tropical development.
The NHC has also officially upgraded Tropical Depression Two to Tropical Storm Barry as of the 11 a.m. Sunday update.
Highs are forecast to stay near the upper 80s to low 90s all week, with rain and thunderstorm chances ranging from 60-70% every day, especially in the afternoons and evenings.
