ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Hurricane Center has officially upgraded Tropical Depression Two to Tropical Storm Barry as of the 11 a.m. Sunday update.
With winds reaching 40 mph, it’s moving northwest at 6 mph.
This marks the second storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season.
Barry doesn’t have much time left over open water, however — it’s expected to make landfall on eastern Mexico by late Sunday or early Monday.
