TIMELINE: Will storms wash out fireworks displays across Central Florida?

Unsettled weather pattern continues through the holiday weekend.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Every year storms threaten outdoor plans for Independence Day weekend, but this year the weather pattern is a little different.

A stalled front will send waves of rain and thunderstorms through Central Florida through the holiday weekend.

While rain and storm chances are high, no one day will be a complete loss.

The holiday weekend gets started on Thursday in Altamonte Springs with Red Hot & Boom.

Storm chances will be at their highest in the early evening.

A stray downpour or storm may linger in the area for the fireworks display, but the most widespread rain will be winding down.

Widespread clouds and storms are expected again during the day Friday.

Storm chances will be at their highest in the afternoon and early evening, but it will not behave like a typical Florida day with storms firing after a sun-filled morning.

The washout potential on the Fourth of July appears to be in South Florida at this time.

Still, Central Florida will be dodging waves of rain and storms through the day.
