One wave to watch, one to wave goodbye

Monitoring Invest 96L and 97L

ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Hurricane Center’s 8 p.m. tropical outlook shows Invest 97L has a high chance of development over the next seven days as it moves across the central Atlantic.

Atmospheric conditions look favorable for organization, making this a long-term system to monitor. Some development is likely by late this week through the third week of August.

If it reaches storm status, the next name on the list is Erin.
