A broad area of low pressure off the North Carolina coast is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
Some slight development is possible over the weekend while the disturbance drifts over the Gulf Stream. This disturbance is expected to remain offshore.
Development chances are low, 10%, over the next two and seven days forecast period.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Erin continues to lift west-northwest east of the Caribbean.
A sharp turn to the north in between the US and Bermuda is expected.
Rough surf and large waves will be likely along Florida’s Atlantic coast, but the storm should pass more than 500 miles away from the Sunshine State.
