Flash Flood Warning for Marion county

ORLANDO, Fla. – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Marion county until 9:45.

Several inches of rain has fallen in and around Ocala in the past hour.

More heavy rainfall is expected over the next hour.

Storm spotters have reported that several roads are impassable due to high water near downtown Ocala.

Considerable street flooding along State Road 540. N. Pine and S. Pine Ave. along with W. Silver Springs Blvd. 1 stalled vehicle was reported by emergency management. Many additional roads were reportedly blocked.

If you come across flooding do not attempt to drive through it, Turn around don’t drown.

Storms will linger close to the I-75 corridor Friday evening.

Storm chances are at 60% Saturday.
