The strongest storms will be found where sea breezes collide into the evening. Embedded in those storms we could see gusty winds (up to 55 mph), frequent lightning and localized downpours.
Highs will remain above average in the mid-90s through the weekend. With all the moisture in the air, feels-like temperatures will stay just below heat advisory levels at 100–105 degrees.
Storm chances remain high into early next week as a front stalls across north Florida, keeping deep moisture in play.
The heaviest rain threat arrives Sunday, where a Moderate Risk for excessive rainfall has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center.
