ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s not much and you likely won’t notice anything just yet, but Central Florida has turned a huge corner in the temperature department.
From June 30 through Aug. 20, the average high temperature in Orlando is 92 degrees.
Those dates marks the climatological hottest portion of the year in Central Florida.
Aug. 21 is the day when the average temperature in the Orlando area drops from the highest average temperature of 92 degrees to 91 degrees.
By the first day of fall in late September, we’ll shave off a couple of more degrees.
Weather doesn’t always follow the climatological norms, but it’s a sign that that window-opening weather and lower electrical bills aren’t too far off.
The first cold fronts of the year, on average, arrive in the middle of October.
