ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s another steamy, stormy Tuesday across Florida.
A weak front has dipped into North Florida, and a steady stream of tropical moisture from the Gulf will continue to fuel widespread showers and storms across the Orlando area.
Storm coverage will differ a bit due to drier air filtering in from the north. Expect elevated chances at 60-80% for the southern half of Central Florida, and a 30-50% chance of rain in the northern half.
Wednesday
By midweek, slightly drier air will move into parts of Central Florida, lowering rain chances to 40-50%.
While rain chances are lower, there will still be some isolated downpours possible.
Late Week
Moisture levels begin to surge back on Thursday, bringing scattered storms back to most areas (60-70%).
Expect highs in the low to mid-90s, with “feels-like” temps pushing 100.
Labor Day Weekend
Looking ahead to the Labor Day weekend, the pattern turns even more unsettled.
A lingering front is expected to settle near Florida, driving rain and storm chances up to 70-80% each afternoon and evening from Saturday through Monday.
If you’re making outdoor plans, prepare for possible heavy rain, lightning and localized flooding.
