ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Heavy rainfall on Monday caused the Little Wekiva River near Altamonte Springs to rise.
The river crested at 28.6 feet, just above the minor flood stage of 28.5 feet.
At 28.5 feet, minor flooding occurs along the river in Altamonte Springs.
The river quickly receded after cresting to minor flood stage, and the flood warning was later canceled.
Typically, the river reaches the flood stage level during hurricanes, including Irma in 2017.
