Central Florida to warm up with sunny skies—but patchy fog could develop early

Rising temperatures, a dry spell, and patchy morning fog into Thanksgiving week

ORLANDO, Fla. – If you’ve got plans this weekend, Central Florida’s Pinpoint Weather forecast is looking especially nice. Daytime highs are expected to reach the lower 80s both Saturday and Sunday, with mostly clear skies and little chance for rain.

Weekend forecast

In fact, this warm and dry pattern is forecast to last well into next week. High pressure over the state is keeping things calm and letting those toasty afternoons stick around. Thanksgiving week is shaping up to be warmer than average not just here, but across much of the Southeast and Midwest too.

Temperature Outlook

While the afternoons look perfect for getting outside, mornings could bring some driving hazards. Patchy, dense fog could develop early Saturday and Sunday. This could be especially noticeable in some neighborhoods, so expect limited visibility until the sun burns it off. If you’re headed out early, you may need your headlights—and maybe a jacket too, since some spots north and west of I-4 could dip to the upper 40s or low 50s before warming up.

Visibility

The stretch of sunny, pleasant weather is good news for weekend fun, but it’s also raising concern about drought conditions in Central Florida. Many counties are already abnormally dry, with parts of Marion, Lake, and Sumter showing moderate drought. Without any measurable rain in the forecast, these dry areas could expand over the coming days.

No tropical threats on the radar

If you’re eyeing the tropics, there’s good news: nothing concerning is expected to develop for several days, according to the National Hurricane Center and News 6’s Pinpoint Weather team.
