Cold front brings rain, wind, then freezing temps

Monday-morning wake-up temperatures expected in 20s, 30s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Saturday will stay pleasant through the rest of the day, with highs in the 70s across the region, so enjoy it while you can. Another blast of cold air is on the way.

A cold front moves through Sunday, bringing increasing rain chances around 40-80% across the region, mainly during the morning through early afternoon.

Conditions should begin to dry out after 5 p.m.

Highs Sunday will run below average in the 50s, 60s and 70s, and it will turn windy, with sustained winds of 10–15 mph and gusts up to 35 mph in some spots.

Colder air pours in from the north Sunday night into Monday morning. A Freeze Watch is in effect for all Central Florida counties except Brevard. Widespread temperatures below freezing will be possible, so be sure to protect plants and pets.

A hard freeze is not expected, but it will be very cold, especially early in the morning, with wind chills dropping into the 20s for many areas.

Monday afternoon, winds will continue to relax but afternoon highs are expected to remain chilly in the 50s.

Tuesday morning starts off cold in the 30s and 40s, then temperatures rebound nicely by midweek, warming back into the 70s.
