ORLANDO, Fla. – An Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for all of Central Florida, along with a Freeze Warning and Wind Advisory, as dangerous conditions move in this weekend.
The Freeze and Extreme Cold warnings are in effect from 7 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday, while the Wind Advisory runs from 3 p.m. Saturday through 7 a.m. Sunday.
Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph, are expected. Wind chills could drop as low as 8 degrees, with hard freeze temperatures falling to around 22 degrees.
Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects, bring down tree limbs and cause isolated power outages. Hard freeze conditions could kill crops, damage sensitive vegetation, and potentially impact unprotected outdoor plumbing.
