ORLANDO, Fla. – A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Marion County until 4 p.m.
A warning has also been issued for parts of Sumter County until 3:45 p.m.
All other thunderstorm warnings have expired.
Wind gusts of up to 60 mph will be possible with this storm.
Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning and torrential rain will accompany this storm.
A severe thunderstorm warning means that dangerous weather conditions are happening or are expected soon.
Head indoors if you are outside and stay away from windows.
Rest Of Today And Tuesday
Storms will continue to push southeast for the remainder of the evening along a strong cold front.
The main threats will be damaging wind and hail. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out.
Storm chances should completely clear Central Florida by 8 p.m. Storms will wind down first north of Orlando and gradually push out from north to south.
Behind the storms, a strong push of cold air blasts into Central Florida.
Temperatures will plummet into the 40s for most of the region with 50s closer to the coast and the potential for 30s north of Orlando.
Highs Tuesday will struggle to climb out the 50s. Central Florida will begin dry out during the day.
