Gusts could reach up to 45 mph, with sustained northeast winds between 20–30 mph.

Adding to the coastal concerns, a high surf advisory will be in effect from Saturday night through Monday morning.

High surf advisory

Large, powerful breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet are expected in the surf zone, creating very dangerous conditions along area beaches.

Outlook

These factors will lead to hazardous beach and boating conditions from Saturday into Sunday, with a high risk of rip currents continuing through the entire weekend. Extra caution is strongly advised if you’re heading near the water.

Despite the wind, temperatures will stay warm on Saturday, climbing into the 70s and 80s, before cooling slightly on Sunday with highs settling into the 70s.
