Summerlike setup ahead in Central Florida. Here’s when the warmer, wetter days return

Highs warming into next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is settling into a more summerlike pattern through the weekend and into next week as temperatures and rain chances climb.

FRIDAY

A big warmup begins Friday afternoon, with highs climbing into the low to mid-80s and partly cloudy skies. A light south breeze will help spark a few isolated showers this afternoon along the sea breeze, with coverage at 20-30%.

WEEKEND

As we head into the weekend, temperatures continue to climb. Highs push into the mid to upper 80s Saturday and Sunday as winds turn more south to southwest and the sea breeze slows down.

This setup will help boost the chance for afternoon storms a bit farther east each day (30-40%). Rain chances also tick up slightly, with scattered showers and storms possible both days, especially in the afternoon and evening.

NEXT WEEK

By early next week, the pattern stays warm and mostly quiet, with the big story being the heat.

Temperatures are expected to stay above average in the mid to upper 80s Monday and Tuesday, then climb even higher into the low to mid 90s across much of the inland areas by late week.
