ORLANDO, Fla. – An influx in moisture from a stalled frontal boundary to our north means rain chances increase as we move through the weekend. This increase in moisture will also allow our heat indices to climb as well.
Saturday
Saturday will shape up to be a more “typical” rain pattern after days of abnormally dry conditions. We will start off our Saturday dry with a mix of sun and clouds, allowing temperatures to reach the mid 90s and heat indices between 103-107ºF. Our sea breeze will begin developing spotty showers around and just west of I-95 by lunch time. Scattered storms will continue to fill in around I-4 and I-75 as the afternoon rolls on. These storms will stick around until 9pm then fizzle.
Sunday
Storm chances increase even more as deeper moisture rolls in as our cold front journeys southward into North Florida. Rain chances increase to 60% in the afternoon. With a west wind flow, rain chances begin along I-75 right around noon. These storms push towards I-4 around 2pm, then I-95 and the beaches mid-afternoon. Highs will climb into the low-mid 90s with feels like temperatures around 100-107ºF.
