ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain chances are making a return to Central Florida, but Tuesday will stay mostly quiet before showers and storms become more widespread through the end of the week.
TUESDAY
While the moisture will gradually increase Tuesday, the atmosphere will remain stable enough to keep rain chances low (20-30%).
Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s, with increasing humidity pushing heat indices into the low 90s.
WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY
Rain chances increase Wednesday as deeper moisture moves in and the east coast sea breeze develops, bumping up rain chances to 60-70%.
While the threat for severe weather remains low, some storms could produce frequent lightning, torrential downpours and gusty winds.
Highs will remain in the upper 80s both days.
FRIDAY-WEEKEND
Friday could bring the highest rain chances of the week, with coverage reaching 50% to 70% as deep tropical moisture settles over Central Florida.
Rain chances then ease slightly to 30% to 50% this weekend and into early next week as some drier air works in aloft.
Temperatures remain slightly above normal, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and overnight lows in the 70s.
