Cruise lines sailing from Port Canaveral have begun to modify their itineraries to avoid Tropical Storm Dorian.
Royal Caribbean has modified the itineraries of three ships — Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas — from eastern to western Caribbean routes.

The Harmony of the Seas is based at Port Canaveral. Its new itinerary on the sailing that left Port Canaveral Sunday includes stops at the Royal Caribbean's private island of Perfect Day CocoCay; Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; and Costa Maya, Mexico. The ship is scheduled to return to Port Canaveral Sept. 1.
Melissa Charbonneau, director of corporate reputation for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., said the changes were made "to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests."
"We continue to monitor the path of Tropical Storm Dorian and potential impact to our vessels, and will communicate any scheduling changes to our guests," Charbonneau said in a statement.
Disney Cruise Line, meanwhile, changed the itinerary of its Port Canaveral-based Disney Fantasy from an eastern Caribbean to a western Caribbean route.
According to a letter to Disney Fantasy passengers that posted on the Disney Cruise Line Blog, the Disney Fantasy now is scheduled to make stops in Grand Cayman on Tuesday; Cozumel, Mexico, on Wednesday; and Disney's private island of Castaway Cay on Friday.
