27-year-old woman ejected in fatal Semoran Boulevard crash, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 27-year-old woman died when her vehicle rolled over and she was ejected during a crash Friday afternoon on Semoran Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Courtney Guttilla was driving a Kia SUV westbound on Royal Pine Boulevard across Semoran Boulevard at about 2:50 p.m. when a Mini Cooper that was traveling southbound on Semoran Boulevard traveled directly into her path.

The front of the Kia hit the right side of the Mini Cooper, causing the SUV to rollover, a crash report said.

Guttilla, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected, records show. She died at the scene.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, 42-year-old Candice Mitchell, was not injured.

 

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
