DETROIT – As summer comes to an end, the real movie season is ready to kick into gear.
Oscar season, as some call it, is just around the corner. But it's not just the artsy films that are coming to end 2017.
Here are 14 movies to look forward to this fall/winter:
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI - Dec. 15
Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII.
JUSTICE LEAGUE - Nov. 17
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. WONDER - Nov. 17
August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school—until now. STEPHEN KING'S IT - Sept. 8
A group of kids called the "Losers Club" encounter a creature called It, which preys on children and whose favorite form is that of a sadistic clown called Pennywise. JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE - Dec. 20
In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.
JIGSAW - Oct. 27
