ORLANDO, Fla. – This week, WalletHub has released its latest ranking of the best and worst cities to drive in nationwide.
And this list may have revealed the Florida city with the worst traffic conditions.

More specifically, the study examines factors like car costs, traffic infrastructure, safety measures, and access to repair shops to figure out which cities placed at the top.
“Costs aren’t the only factors that matter,” WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo wrote. “The best cities for drivers also minimize commute times and traffic congestion, have accident rates well below the national average, and keep their roads in good condition.”
Nationally, the top-ranked city turned out to be Corpus Christi, followed close behind by Greensboro, North Carolina (No. 2) and Boise, Idaho (No. 3).
But in the Sunshine State, the top city was determined to be Tampa, which closed in on No. 15 for the national ranking.
In terms of traffic and infrastructure, though, Orlando was the top dog, with a No. 4 national ranking for that factor, specifically.
On the other side of the spectrum, Hialeah in South Florida was ranked as the worst city in the state to drive in, placing near the absolute bottom for its traffic conditions, the study states.
Other notable placements for Florida cities on this year’s list include:

- Car Washes Per Capita — Orlando, Tampa and Miami tie for No. 1
