ORLANDO, Fla. – St. Johns Riverkeeper wants you to save water and drink beer this summer.
To celebrate the nonprofit organization’s 25th anniversary, 25 Taps for the St. Johns aims to raise awareness about the importance of clean water for both the St. Johns River and the craft beer community.

According to a news release, the campaign — running from June 1 to July 31 — invites participants to explore over 25 local breweries and businesses throughout the St. Johns River watershed.
“For 25 years, St. Johns Riverkeeper has served as a voice and advocate for our river and the communities that benefit from this important waterway. So many local businesses and breweries that love our river have supported us along the way. We can’t wait to raise a glass together for the river, and cheers to 25 years!” said Jimmy Orth, executive director for SJRK.
By checking in using an on-site QR code, participants can engage in a virtual passport challenge. Many participating breweries will designate a specific brew or tap to help raise funds for SJRK’s mission to defend and protect the St. Johns River.
Participating Central Florida breweries include Blue Springs Brewing, Brewlando, and Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co.
Anyone interested can sign up for a free digital passport. The more breweries participants check into, the more points and prizes they can earn.
At the end of the campaign, participants will also be entered into a drawing for an eco-tour or fishing charter on the beautiful St. Johns River with friends and a local guide.
