2 sought after theft, crash at Ocoee Walmart

Third suspect, Chaveon Wayne Spencer, 18, arrested

OCOEE, Fla. – Ocoee police are searching for two men accused of stealing from a Walmart before crashing a stolen car.

Police said the theft was reported Thursday night on West Colonial Drive.

Ocoee police said officers spotted the getaway vehicle, described as a white Mercedes Benz SUV stolen out of Seminole County, and an officer attempted to make a traffic stop.

The driver sped off, however, and crashed into a palm tree near the store's parking lot entrance, police said.

Three men ran away, but one of them was caught in the parking lot of Health Central Hospital, which is located nearby, police said.

Chaveon Wayne Spencer, 18, faces charges of trespass in a conveyance and resisting an officer without violence.

Anyone with information about the other two culprits is asked to call police.
