Animal hit by boat

ORLANDO, Fla. – An injured manatee recovered earlier this week was doing well at SeaWorld Orlando on Wednesday.

The rescue team went to Indian River Shores, Fla. and rescued the 10-foot long female manatee on Tuesday. The adult female was severely injured from a boat strike, SeaWorld Orlando said.

Officials said the manatee was in guarded condition and was in a medical pool recovering.

The manatee was also given antibiotics to fight an infection.
