Melbourne's Kate Upton named 2013 Model of the Year Upton to receive trophy at 10th Annual Style Awards in New York City
Kate Upton lands the coveted cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue two years in a row.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – She was this year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover girl -- for the second year in a row.
And she has graced numerous other covers, including Vogue, Elle and the just-out October issue of Vanity Fair, a special 100th year anniversary issue in which she does a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.
Now, on Wednesday, Kate Upton, of Melbourne, will pick up the 2013 Model of the Year trophy at the 10th Annual Style Awards in New York City, Local 6 News partner Florida Today reported.
The event kicks off New York Fashion Week. Nicole Richie will host the evening's festivities. Other honorees include Zac Posen, Rachel Zoe and Victor Cruz.
