The baby boy, which has yet to be named, was born August 7 to mother Azizi and father Gino.

Disney employees are closely watching the family to ensure that Azizi is adapting to her maternal duties, such as properly holding the baby and keeping up with a demanding nursing schedule.

Most gorilla mothers keep their offspring close for several months as the infants adjust to their environment, Disney said.

The baby is the fourth gorilla born at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Gorillas are the largest of all primates, standing 5 to 6 feet tall and weighing up to 450 pounds.
