2 shot while recording music video in Orlando

Up to 40 shots fired at apartment complex

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two men were injured Sunday night when as many as 40 shots were fired into a crowd of people recording a music video in Orlando, according to police.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. at the Windsor Cove Apartments on Mercy Drive.

Orlando police said a group of people were in the parking lot recording the video when shots were fired at them. 

A 22-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were struck by bullets and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  One of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries while the other was critically injured, according to police.  Both were later listed in stable condition.

No details about the shooter or shooters were released.

Meanwhile, Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators said four people were shot Sunday night in a drive-by shooting on Steyr Street in Tangelo Park.

Deputies said a 50-year-old man first reported the shooting, saying he was driving along Steyr Street when someone in an SUV opened fire and struck him.

When deputies arrived, they said they found an SUV nearby with an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old inside and both had gunshot wounds.  Deputies also found a 30-year-old victim who was shot while sitting in his front porch.

A bicycle tire was also pierced by a bullet, but the cyclist was not injured.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
