ORLANDO, Fla. – After a stretch of storms and unusually cool weather, Central Florida is settling into a much quieter forecast heading into the weekend.
THURSDAY & FRIDAY
A dry air mass remains in place across the region on Thursday, which will keep rain chances limited with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures remain below normal in the low to mid 80s.
A steady onshore breeze will continue through the afternoon, with winds around 10 to 15 mph and occasional gusts between 20 and 25 mph, especially near the beaches.
The biggest weather concern remains at the coast, where a high risk of rip currents continues. Rough surf and an easterly swell are creating dangerous swimming conditions, and beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water.
WEEKEND
The dry pattern is expected to hold through most of the weekend with high pressure remaining in control.
While a brief coastal shower cannot be completely ruled out, most locations will stay dry with abundant sunshine. Temperatures will continue to climb, reaching the mid to upper 90s across parts of the area by Saturday.
The daily sea breeze will provide some afternoon relief near the coast, but overall conditions will feel much more typical for early June.
NEXT WEEK
Looking ahead, temperatures continue trending upward through Sunday and Monday. Several inland communities could reach the low to mid 90s, with Monday shaping up to be the hottest day of the upcoming week.
Expect a gradual uptick in moisture by late weekend into next week. While confidence remains lower on exactly how much moisture returns, rain chances may begin to increase again as another weak front approaches from the north.
