ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Work is set to begin on Monday to widen a major road on the campus of the University of Central Florida.
The university is widening Libra drive from two lanes to four lanes. The expansion covers a 1 mile stretch of the road between the south entrance of the campus on Research Park to the intersection of Gemini Boulevard.

Crews will also be raising sections of the road to eliminate flooding that can happen during heavy rain storms.
UCF says the project will take about 10 months to complete. Drivers are being warned the road could be closed to one lane at times and people should plan alternate routes.
Construction will not take place on game days for UCF football.
