ORLANDO, Fla. – A man is killed after he falls onto roadway from a car in Pine Hills early Saturday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that Rodney Pierre, 22, was lying on the grass shoulder on Powers Drive just north of Moore Street at 5:55 a.m. Saturday.
Nicolas Wright, 40, and passenger Kimiko Morris, 44, were traveling down Powers Drive when Pierre attempted to stand up on the grass shoulder and fell backwards onto the roadway as Wright's car approached, troopers said.
Officers said that Wright's car ran over Pierre and he died at the scene.
It has not been determined if alcohol was a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
