Expect Highs to reach the mid 90s Saturday afternoon with heat indices topping 100 degrees. If you have outdoor plans, be sure to stay well-hydrated and take breaks indoors. Spotty storms will develop around 3pm, mainly to the east of the I-4 Corridor. These storms will be pinned right along the coastline for the second half of the afternoon and into the early evening. Drier conditions prevail overnight.

Your Mother’s Day will feature a similar story, however, our storm coverage will be a bit larger and some may be on the stronger side. The Storm Prediction Center has labeled all of Central Florida under a marginal risk for severe weather. The primary threats will be strong storms capable of producing strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall. These storms will spark up around 3pm and once again favor areas east of I-4.

Strong wind gusts, heavy rain, and frequent lightning possible.

Rain chances continue for the first few days of the upcoming work week as a cold front makes its way down the state of Florida. Drier and slightly “cooler” conditions will be felt for the second half of the week behind this front.
