ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Police Department said they responded to an alleged home invasion robbery at the Ramada Inn on Augusta National Drive early Sunday morning.

Police said that around 6:33 a.m. Sunday the unnamed victim notified the front desk of the hotel that a home invasion in her hotel room had occurred.

The victim heard a knock on the door and when she opened it two men, one armed with a handgun, barged into the room, hitting her in the face, police said.

A CSI unit is on the scene and is gathering statements. Investigators don't believe that this was a random act.

It is unknown if the two men left the hotel in a car or on foot. Police are working to retrieve video from the hotel.

The investigation is ongoing.
