Orlando's planning board discussed changing its code to make it easier for micro-pubs to open up on Tuesday.

Right now, policies put breweries under an industrial land use, meaning there are limits to the space and uses of the property.

By changing the policies, it would allow craft brewing, distilleries and wineries greater flexibility for more brew business.

The proposal points out hot spots like Portland plus San Diego, where the city reportedly generated $300 million in pubs and microbreweries in 2011 alone.
